How to search for what you want

Search is simple: just type whatever you are looking for into the search box, press Enter or click on the Search button, and Google will search our website for pages that are relevant to your query.

Most of the time you'll find exactly what you are looking for with a relatively basic query. However the following tips can help you refine your technique to make the most of your searches.

• Generally, all the words you put into the query will be used.
• Search is always case insensitive. Searching for Assessment is the same as searching for assessment.
• Punctuation is usually ignored, so you can't search for @#$%^&*()=+[]\ and other special characters
• If you're looking for a particular resources or subject area, use a combination of relevant key words. For example, assessment event or statistics resources. Most queries do not require advanced operators or unusual syntax, and as all words are used, each additional word filters the results. However, if you use too many words you may miss a lot of useful information, so it is best to start with a some broad terms. You will be able to refine your search later on if you need to.
  

How to read search results

• The title: The first line of any search result is the title of the webpage.
• The snippet: A description of or an excerpt from the webpage.
