A Road Map for Lecture Writing
Planning lectures is one of the most time consuming tasks especially for those new to teaching. Join Dr. Clare Milsom, Liverpool John Moores University for a practial session on how to effectely plan, write and deliver lectures. This session is aimed at postgraduates whose prior experience consists mainly of delivering teaching for others.

Working with Difficult Students
Students perceptions of postgraduate teachers can lead to awkward teaching situations. Coral Dando, Lecturer, Department of Psychology, Lancaster University, will facilitate a session on how to avoid common pitfalls and gain students' respect.

Effective CV Writing for Psychology Postgraduates
How do you tailor your CV for a researcher or lecturer opportunity? Bring your own CV plus covering letter to receive feedback from peers. This interactive session will cover CV styles and formats, content, do's and don'ts, differences between academic and non-academic CVs, and what to state in covering letters. Led by

Background
One of 24 discipline-based centres within the Higher Education Academy, the Psychology Network supported the teaching and learning of psychology across the UK between 2004 and 2011. A core team, based at the University of York, worked with students, staff, departments, professional bodies and overseas organisations to develop supportive networks and to improve the learning experience of psychology students in Higher Education.
