Authorship in Psychology
Plagiarism is a common problem among university students. Learn how to educate students about plagiarism as well as to identify and deal effectively with cases of plagiarism. Facilitated by Dr. James Elander, Psychology Professor, University of Derby.


Dealing with Difficult Students

Students who disrupte class, talk too much, talk to little, take up all your time, are always ahead of you or can't keep up. Dr. Jacqui Akhurst, Senior Psychology Lecturer, York Saint John University, will address the perennial topic of how to deal with difficult students.

Statistics can be fun and interesting according to Dr. Andy Field, Reader in Psychology, University of Sussex. Don't miss Andy as he shares his tips and techniques from his infamous textbook for livening up statistics modules.

Background
One of 24 discipline-based centres within the Higher Education Academy, the Psychology Network supported the teaching and learning of psychology across the UK between 2004 and 2011. A core team, based at the University of York, worked with students, staff, departments, professional bodies and overseas organisations to develop supportive networks and to improve the learning experience of psychology students in Higher Education.
