Lecturing can still be a struggle even for those who have been doing it for 35 years. This session will prvoide an overiw of the trials, tribulations and high-points of psychology lecturing. Speaker TBA.

Teaching statistics to undergraduates can be challenging. Make it easier on yourself by attending this session and learning effective tips and strategies from Dr. Martin Dempster, Psychology Lecturer, University of Belfast.

Demystify the process of working with small groups with Roisin Curran , University of Ulster. This interactive session will address teachniques such as getting students to feel comfortable participating, asking appropriate questions, and general small group strategies.

Background
One of 24 discipline-based centres within the Higher Education Academy, the Psychology Network supported the teaching and learning of psychology across the UK between 2004 and 2011. A core team, based at the University of York, worked with students, staff, departments, professional bodies and overseas organisations to develop supportive networks and to improve the learning experience of psychology students in Higher Education.
