The Psychology Network funded over 100 projects between 2004 and 2011

The miniproject scheme was designed to promote the use of effective learning ang teaching activities in psychology, to encourage the development and sharing of innovative approaches and to raise awareness of the importance of evaluating the effectiveness of educational methods.  Miniproject funding typically aimed to develop or bring into wider use exemplary or innovative techniques, methods or materials for teaching specific areas of psychology, or to undertake research into good practice within the teaching of particular areas, e.g. employability. 


In 2007 the Psychology Network commissioned The KSA Partnership Opens new window to undertake an evaluation of our miniproject scheme.



Departmental teaching enhancement scheme (DTES) funding aimed to provide psychology schools, departments or units with additional funds to develop and implement some aspect of practice across the entire school, department or unit that led to an improved learning environment for all students.

Background
One of 24 discipline-based centres within the Higher Education Academy, the Psychology Network supported the teaching and learning of psychology across the UK between 2004 and 2011. A core team, based at the University of York, worked with students, staff, departments, professional bodies and overseas organisations to develop supportive networks and to improve the learning experience of psychology students in Higher Education.
